Lil Kim Opens Hair Salon

photo via kiddunot.com
First of all let me say that Lil Kim can take all the blame for my obsession with labels. From the age of fifteen this woman has groomed me into the brat that I am, so when I heard that she was opening a hair salon I was soo excited!! This is a woman after my very own heart :) Salon Se Swa is the second in the chain (who knew there was a first?) and has opened in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kim was joined by cousin and business partner, Katrise Jones, and my 'sister from another mister' Meagan Good for the grand opening followed by a charity dinner and fashion show.

Salon Se Swa which translates "salon of comfort" definitely allows patrons to remain "comfortable".. haircuts are $10, hi lites start at $45, and a full head of extensions are only $99!! She had me up until this point.. How do you go from rapping about Christian Lacroix to $10 wash and sets?? I'm not saying hit them over the head, but sheesh girl you are the Queen!! (Hit them!!)

Mrs. Carter Gets Tatted Up

When I first saw this pic I was like, "Get it Mrs. Carter!!" I thought that Jay's bad assness had finally rubbed off on her, but to no avail.. Beyonce and mama Tina have teamed up with airbrush makeup giants Temptu to create Dereon Temporary Tattoos. Sounds kinda cheesy but as you can see the designs are quite hot. From spiders and chains to jewels and of course the signature Dereon fleur. The tats will be sold at Sephora stores all over the U.S. and there is already a waiting list!! I think this was a very sexxxy (and profitable) idea, so cheesy or not you can sign me up :)

Indashio at NY Fashion Week

So New York Fashion Week is officially a wrap and as expected there was alot going on from Vanessa and Angela Simmons being accused of stealing seats (shame shame) to Kanye and his bangle bracelets (Mr. West, it is so okay for you to skip right on out of the closet.. I promise we will love you just the same).
Of all the shows and drama that occured thoughout the week I was most excited about Indashio!! I had the pleasure of working with him early last year when he held a fashion show in McKinney, TX celebrating his fifth year in fashion. He was the winner of VH1's Glam God hosted by Vivica Fox, has styled celebs such as Kim Kardashian and Lil Kim, and is known for being one of the youngest designers to show at fashion week. This show was extra saucy because to close he got fashionista and solialite Amber Rose! Makeup was donned by celebrity makeup artist Anna Castillo, owner of ink cosmetics. Amber rocked hot pink feather lashes with glooooossy pink lips while Indashio sported indigo eyeshadow that perfectly complimented his blue hawk.. Absolutely fiiiierce!!

Jesus is My Boyfriend!

Makeup by Drea
A shoot I am particularly proud of was the one I did for MyChristianT.com
founded by NFL player Mark Clayton and based here in Dallas.
MyChristianT is not only a website designed to sell t-shirts, but is more so a lifestyle purposed to inspire and spread the gospel through fashion. They have both mens and womens apparel with t-shirts that read "Property of Jesus", "Twitter Jesus", and my fav "Jesus is my Boyfriend".

The look was edgy so everyone was geared up in their Jesus hoodies and jeans. So to keep it street I gave the girls heavy brows and smoky eyes, lots of lip colour and contouring! The face of Christianity is changing and I love it!!

Fancy's baaaack!!

My oh my I've been away for too long. Father forgive me, it's been eight months since my last confession! Lol. I've had alot going on in the time that I was away.. Good things.. all good things :)

All Star weekend.. yes it was back in February but I must address it because for me it was a big deal. For the first time it was held right here in my own back yard, Dallas, TX!! I, along with my crew, was sooo excited because I just knew the streets would be filled with celebrities and puerto rican papis from NY that would whisper spanish in my ear and then wisk me off to the east coast to eat New York pizza and have babies with good hair. Clearly it didn't happen that way, but a girl can always dream :)

Good things did come of the weekend nonetheless. I was asked to do makeup for a fashion show that was to be hosted by Kobe Bryant. Of course he was a no-show (wifey wasn't having it I suppose;)but I did get to meet an amazing up and coming designer. I can't remember her name because I spent the entire night convincing her and her two assistants that they were literally the asian version of the Kardashians.

Backstage at the show with the "Asian Kardashians".. I'm the black bff lol
